Nail-biting win for South Africa! Pakistan fought to the end, but all hopes did not work out, and South Africa won by just one wicket. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 270 runs before being all out in 46.4 overs. Thanks to skipper Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel for contributing 50 and 52 runs, respectively, to the Pakistan innings. Tabraiz Shamsi (4) and Marco Jansen (3) picked up wickets for South Africa.
In reply, PAK bowlers’ spells put some pressure on SA batters. The final 10 overs were thrilling! South African batter Gerald Coetzee was dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi when the score was 250/8 in 41.1 overs. South Africa needed only a small amount for the victory, but Haris Rauf gave some hope to Pakistan fans by taking the 9th wicket with a brilliant catch. Finally, Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj finished the game beautifully. With this win, South Africa reached the top of the table.
