Sri Lanka won the ODI series 2-0 against Zimbabwe with a stunning victory in the 3rd ODI at RPICS. Earlier, ZIM won the toss and opted to bowl first. ZIM started their innings, but rain delayed the match and reduced overs to 27 (DLC method). Wanindu Hasaranga’s powerful spells put some pressure on ZIM batters as he took 7 wickets for just 19 runs. However, ZIM scored 96 runs before being all out in 22.5 overs.
Chasing the target, SL Skipper Kusal Mendis’s unbeaten 66 runs helped chase down the target with 62 balls to spare. SL will face ZIM in the next T20I match on 14 January.
