Asked to bat first, the young Lankans posted a modest 95 losing nine wickets, Rashmi Nethranjali top-scoring with 21.
Nishita Akter and player of the match Rabeya bagged three wickets each as the young Tigresses put in a disciplined bowling effort.
In reply, the home side reached their target with nine deliveries to spare riding on Afia Asima’s unbeaten 29-ball 27, studded with three fours, and Mosammat Eva’s 27 off 36 deliveries.
Reduced to 35/3 inside nine overs, the hosts were rescued by Afia and Eva’s 39-run stand for the fourth wicket.
Sri Lanka U-19 will face Pakistan U-19 next in Thursday’s match.
