Bangladesh clinched the ODI series 2-1 as they defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in the third ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 235 before being all out in 50 overs. Janith Liyanage scored his maiden ODI century with 11 fours and 2 sixes, remaining unbeaten with 101 runs off 102 balls. Taskin Ahmed (3), Mustafizur Rahman (2), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2), Soumya Sarkar (1), and Rishad Hossain (1) claimed wickets for Bangladesh.
Chasing the target, Sri Lankan bowler Lahiru Kumara picked up 4 wickets while Wanindu Hasaranga took 2. However, Tanzid Hasan’s superb knock of 84 runs, along with Rishad Hossain’s unbeaten 48 runs, guided Bangladesh to victory with 58 balls to spare.
