Kolkata Knight Riders scored the second-highest score of IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
The superb innings started with Kolkata Knight Riders’ skipper electing to bat first. Sunil Narine’s brilliant 85-run knock helped to post a massive total of 272/7 in 20 overs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (54) and Andre Russell (41) also contributed to Kolkata’s innings. Anrich Nortje took 3 wickets and Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets for Delhi.
In reply, Knight Riders’ bowlers’ impactful spells restricted Delhi Capitals to 166 in 17.2 overs. Rishabh Pant’s quick 55 runs along with Tristan Stubbs’ 54 runs were not enough to chase down the target. Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy took 3 wickets each, while Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets for Kolkata.
