Shimron Hetmyer finished the game in style as he hit a six in the 19.5th over when Rajasthan Royals needed two runs to win.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals elected to field first and limited Punjab Kings’ innings to 147/8. Ashutosh Sharma was the highest scorer for Punjab, with 31 runs. Keshav Maharaj (2), Avesh Khan (2), Yuzvendra Chahal (1), Kuldeep Sen (1), and Trent Boult (1) claimed wickets for Rajasthan.
In reply, Punjab Kings’ bowlers’ impactful spells put some pressure on Rajasthan as Kagiso Rabada and Sam Curran took two wickets each. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 39 runs, along with Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten 27 runs, guided Rajasthan to a win by three wickets at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium.
