Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma played exceptionally well to lead Mumbai Indians to win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. SKY hit his first hundred of the Indian Premier League 2024 as MI registered a victory by 7 wickets.
Chasing 174 runs, Mumbai lost Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Naman Dhir early in their chase. However, SKY and Tilak didn’t allow the rivals to celebrate as the two closed the game in their franchise’s favour. Yadav was unbeaten on 102 runs off 51 balls, laced with 12 fours and 6 sixes.
Mumbai completed the chase in 17.2 overs. Earlier, Hyderabad managed 173/8, with Travis Head amassing 48 runs. Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla took three wickets each, respectively.
