Kolkata Knight Riders secured a spot in the playoffs by defeating Mumbai Indians by 18 runs at their home ground, Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Due to rain, the match was reduced to 16 overs, and Mumbai Indians opted to field first. Kolkata Knight Riders posted 157/7, thanks to Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 42 runs in the innings.
In response, Mumbai Indians only managed to score 139/8. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma scored 40 and 32 runs, respectively.
