ICC could ban Australia captain Mitchell Marsh for two Super 8 matches in ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Josh Hazlewood has said that Australia will go easy against Scotland to eliminate England from the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Mitchell Marsh, the Aussie captain, will be banned for two matches if his team is found guilty of deliberately trying to keep the Jos Buttler-led unit out of the Super 8 stage.

England’s match against Scotland was abandoned due to rain, and they lost to Australia in their second contest. They will have to defeat Oman and Namibia to stand any chance of making it to the next round. Australia could win their final game against Scotland by a narrow margin to ensure the associate nation goes through, and not England on net run rate, with the two teams level at five points each.
