India Crowned World Champions!

Unbeaten India registered their second T20I World Cup victory, defeating South Africa by just 7 runs at Kensington Oval.

It was a challenging game for both teams, and they played well from start to end. After winning the toss, India elected to bat first. South Africa dismissed India’s first two wickets at regular intervals. However, King Kohli scored a brilliant 76 runs off 59 balls, including 2 sixes and 6 fours, helping India set a challenging target of 177 for South Africa.

Chasing the target, Heinrich Klaasen’s quick 52 runs put South Africa on the winning track, but Hardik Pandya stopped him in his style. South Africa is close to victory, needing 16 runs in the last over. On the first ball of the 20th over, David Miller tried to hit one out of the ground, but an unbelievable catch from Suryakumar Yadav took Miller’s wicket. Eventually, South Africa only scored 169/8 in 20 overs, and India became the champions after 17 years.

Virat Kohli was the player of the match, and at that time he announced his T20I retirement.
