Shadab Khan took the first hat trick of the LPL 2024 season and changed the game with his style, guiding the Colombo Strikers to a 51-run victory against the Kandy Falcons. Dunith Wellalage and Shadab Khan took 4 wickets each, and the Colombo Strikers bowlers restricted the Kandy Falcons to 147 in 15.5 overs.
Earlier, the Colombo Strikers set a target of 199 for the Kandy Falcons, thanks to Sadeera Samarawickrama and skipper Thisara Perera, who scored 48 and 38 runs respectively. Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera took 2 wickets each for the Kandy Falcons.
