Kamindu Mendis and Angelo Mathews’s unbeaten partnership of 95 runs led the Kandy Falcons’ innings, posting a total of 222/4 in the allotted 20 overs. Mendis and Mathews scored 51 and 44 runs respectively. Dushan Hemantha took 3 wickets, and Sonal Dinusha took one wicket for the Dambulla Sixers. Andre Fletcher scored 60 runs off 34 balls for the Kandy Falcons.
This was the 18th match of the LPL 2024, played between the Kandy Falcons and the Dambulla Sixers at RPICS.
Chasing the mammoth target, Kusal Perera’s 74 runs not enough to chase down the target and Dambulla only managed to score 168/9. Skipper Wanindu Hasaranga took 4 wickets for Kandy Falcons.
