It turned out to be a good showing with the ball from the Colombo Strikers as they managed to skittle out the Galle Marvels to an under-par score of 138 and at the halfway stage. They were pretty confident of chasing this down in a jiffy. It was the Colombo Strikers captain Thisara Perera who won the toss and put the Galle Marvels in.
Tim Seifert 44(38) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa 35(15) were the pick of the batters from Galle Marvels as skipper Niroshan Dickwella and Alex Hales could not capitalizes against the bowling of the opponents.
It was as superb final over from Matheesha Pathirana. Full and fast and it was always going to be difficult for the tail enders. Pathirana finishes with four wickets and the score of 138 definitely looks an under par one. Barring Tim Seifert and a breezy knock from Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the Galle Marvels kept staring down the barrel and was eventually bowled out for 138 with a delivery to spare. Shadab Kahan and Dunith Wellalage captures two wickets each for Colombo Strikers.
Chasing the target, Muhammad Waseem 50 runs guided Colombo Strikers victory by 7 wickets. Isuru Udana, Maheesh Theekshana, Sahan Arachchige took one wicket each for Galle.
