Dilki Nehara of Sri Sumangala School, Panadura managed to break the national record in the under-18 triple jump event at the National Junior Athletics Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Athletics Association.
She broke the Under-18 women’s triple jump national record set 11 years ago by Vidusha Lakshani of Newstead Girls’ College, Negombo.
Dilki set the new record with 12.19m, while Vidusha held the old record in 2013 with 12.13m.
