The record in the Men’s pole Vault was broken yesterday at the second day of the 48th National Games held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo
The record was written under the name of M. Puvidaran of Northern Province. He created this record with 5.11 meters
It was more importenat as he broke this record infront of the old record holder who also competed in the event.
M.H.I. sandarauwan of the Western Province held the previous record and he managed to secure second place with
5.00 meters.
The previous record read as 5.10 meters.
