Sri Lanka rode on an excellent performance from the bowlers and a sunning half century by Vishmi Gunaratne to beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 today in Dambulla , Sri Lanka.
Bangladersh battered first after winning the toss and made just 111 for 8 in 20 overs. Skipper Nigar Sultana made 48 rund off 59 balls which helped the visitors to cross the total over 100 runs.
Udeshika Prabodhini and Inoshi Priyadharshani took twwo wickets each for Sri Lanka.
Chasing modest total of 112 to victory Vismi Gunaratna and Harshitha Samarawickrama took Sri Lanka home by scoring 51 runs and 33 runs respectively. Vishmi Gunaratne was the player of the match.
