Shafali Verma’s knock, followed by Deepti Sharma’s three-wicket haul helped India defeat Nepal by 82 runs in their Women’s Asia Cup 2024 Group A match on Tuesday.
Chasing 179, Nepal kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and were restricted to 96/9 in 20 overs. Apart from Deepti, Arundhati Reddy and Radha Yadav took two wickets each.
Earlier, Verma scored 81 off 48 balls and took India to a huge total. With this win, India have entered the semi-finals of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
