Chasing the target, Kusal Mendis stabilized the Sri Lankan innings by scoring 43 runs. Despite his efforts, India’s bowlers delivered impactful spells and took Sri Lanka’s middle-order wickets at regular intervals. For the last over, Sri Lanka needed 6 runs to win.
In the final over, Sri Lanka lost 2 wickets but Chamindu Wickramasinghe scored 4 runs and turned the match into a super over.
In the super over, Sri Lanka struggled! scoring only 2 runs while losing 2 wickets. India skipper Suryakumar Yadav sealed the game by hitting 4 runs on the first ball of the super over.
With this win, India secured the series 3-0.
