Sri Lankan women to meet Ireland in thgeir first ODI

After ending the T20I series one all Sri Lankan women’s cricket team will meet Ireland in the first ODI inb the three match series in Belfast tomorrow.

Bothe team will walk with victories in their belts and this will be another cracking entertainment as both sides want to win.

While Sri Lanka willl get the services of CHamari Atapattu as their captain Ireland received amajor blow today as their captain Laura Delany has been ruled out of the three ODIs. Delany rolled her ankle in the field on Tuesday sustaining suspected ligament damage. She underwent scans today and found aout that she will not befit to play.

Gaby Lewis will step into the captaincy with Orla Prendergast interim vice-captain.

The second withdrawal is confirmation that an injury sustained by Una Raymond-Hoey in Game 1 of the T20I series, a low-grade muscle tear, will also keep her out of the ODI series with Sarah Forbes remaining with the squad as cover.
