The wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen has been named to lead the South African team in the 3-match Twenty20 series to be held against Pakistan.
He has been appointed as the captain of the T20 because the regular captain of the T20 team, Aiden Markram, has joined the Test series against Sri Lanka these days.
It is reported that Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada and Tristan Stubbs, who are included in the Test team, will not join the T20 team as the break between the Test series against Sri Lanka and the T20 series against Pakistan is limited to only one day.
If the South Africa-Sri Lanka second and final Test match lasts for 5 days, it is scheduled to end on December 9, and the Twenty20 series against Pakistan is scheduled to begin on December 10.
