New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 45 runs- Take 2-0 Lead

New Zealand have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Mark Chapman, Michael Hay and Tim Robinson helped New Zealand to 186/5. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 141 in 19.1 overs.

Sri Lanka would have been disappointed after failing to chase down 173 in the first match despite being in cruise control at one stage. The opening pair of Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis stitched a century stand and Sri Lanka were 121/0 when New Zealand made their first breakthrough. Mendis’ dismissal gave the home team an opening and they kept Sri Lanka to 164/8 in 20 overs.
