Rasara Wijesuriya of the Sri Lanka Army yesterday succeeded in renewing the 7-year-old Sri Lankan records in the 10,000 meters running event.
Rasara, who participated in the 10,000m event yesterday in the national selection tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Athletics Association at Diyagama, finished his event in 33:39.60 minutes.
The record set by Hiruni Wijeratne on June 9, 2018 in America with 33:55.06 minutes was broken there.
