The golf tournament, which is a special event of the Defense Services Sports Tournament organized for the 13th time by the Defense Services Sports Council with the aim of developing the skills of the sportsmen and women of the three armed forces, was successfully concluded on February 11 at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Stadium.
This year, the Defense Services Golf Women’s Championship was won by the Air Force Golf Team and the Air Force Men’s Team was the runner-up. Group Captain Prabhat Wijekoon won the first place in the open men’s category.
Captain Airman Sumit Priyadarshana was awarded the best player award in the men’s category of the 13th Defense Services Golf Tournament.
