As the final match of the preliminary round, the Sri Lankan team entered the field against New Zealand yesterday, and New Zealand, who batted first in that match, were limited to 224 runs. The Sri Lankan players who played the reply innings secured victory in 29.5 overs with the loss of only 2 wickets.
