Sri Lanka to host Asian Boxing Championship after 58 years

A historic opportunity has dawned for Sri Lanka to host the Asian Championship for the first time in 58 years. The event is scheduled to be held from May 10th to 24th at the Sugathadasa Indoor Sports Complex.

This is also a special event in the history of the Asian Boxing Federation Under-22 and Youth Boxing Championships.

It is the first Asian Boxing Championship to be held in Sri Lanka since the Third Asian Boxing Championships held in Colombo in 1967.

It will also make history as the first time an Under-22 and Youth Boxing Championship will be held in Sri Lanka.
