
It was a magical moment for all RCB fans as Royal Challengers secured their second victory against Chennai Super Kings at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Asked to bat first, the Challengers got off to a brilliant start, with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli setting the tone. Skipper Rajat Patidar’s 51 runs laid a solid foundation, delighting the RCB supporters. However, Chennai’s Noor Ahmad turned the game around with his exceptional bowling, claiming 3 wickets for 36 runs.
Just when it seemed RCB might fall short of a big total, Tim David produced a breathtaking finish. In the final over, he smashed three consecutive sixes propelling RCB’s innings to a formidable 196.
Chasing the target, Chennai lost wickets at regular intervals. Eventually, Chennai Super Kings could only score 146 losing 8 wickets in their allocated 20 overs. Josh Hazlewood (3), Yash Dayal (2), and Liam Livingstone (2) claimed crucial wickets, guiding RCB to victory by 50 runs.
