Ritzbury, Sri Lanka’s number one chocolate brand has once again partnered Sri Lanka Squash (SLS) to organise the 30th Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship.
The championship is scheduled to take place from today till 16 October at the Air Force Squash Complex at Ratmalana. The Championship will commence at 8am to mark World Squash Day which also falls on the same day.
Showcasing the company’s resolute commitment in developing and promoting squash nationwide, Riztbury has continuously partnered the championship for 12 consecutive years.
Recognised as a major event in the game’s annual calendar, over 400 players representing schools including the top ranked junior players are expected to participate. This year’s tournament will feature boys and girls in age groups Under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 in addition to Novices events for Under 11, 15 and 19 with the aim of attracting new entrants to the game. The finals of the Under-19 is scheduled to take place on 16 October at the Ratmalana Air Force Squash Courts and the Championship awards ceremony will take place soon after.
