Muthiah Muralitharan , former Sri Lankan ace spinner of Sri Lanka has called for a special meeting with National Cricket Team of Sri Lnaka.
Muralitharan is a member of the Sri Lanka Cricket Technical Committee appointed by The Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksha.
Former batsman Aravinda de Silva is the chairman of the committee while Roshan Mahanama and Kumar Sangakkara are the other members of the committee.
The primary role of this committee is to advise the Minister of Sports, Ministry officials and the National Sports Council on all matters relating to cricket in Sri Lanka.
The Committees is expected to work closely with Sri Lanka Cricket to uplift the standard of cricket locally and internationally and thereby guide the development and training of a high level cricket in Sri Lanka.
The Minister of Sports has proposed the names of the veteran cricketers as members of the Technical Advisory Committee functioning in Sri Lanka Cricket.
