Mathews to lead Sri Lanka in the absence of Dasun Shanaka

Angelo Mathews has been appointed as the new captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket team for the three-match Twenty20 series between the touring Sri Lanka and the West Indies which will get underway tomorrow.

Dasun Shanaka, who was appointed as the permanent captain of the Sri Lanka T20 team, had to obtain a visa to travel to the West Indies via the United States due to a delay error.

Dasun Shanaka will miss the Twenty20 series against the West Indies.
