The Sher – E Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka is only producing low scores for all visiting teams to Bangladesh.
Its a haven for Bangladesh Cricket. Today the Black Caps Skipper Tom Lathem must be wondering whats up ? Bundled out for 60 in 16. 5 overs , a repetion of Chittagong score of 60 way back in 2014 , the joined lowest total in this format. It all seems very confusing.
The three spinners namely Mehedi Hassan , Shakibul Hassan , and Nasum Ahmed bowled spin up front with the new ball , it gripped and spun square , end result Rachin Ravindran, Will Young, Tom Blundell and Colin De Grand Homme back in the hunch and a rare score board appearance of New Zealand 9 runs for 4 wickets.
Tom Lathem and Hendry Nicholls glued together a 34 run partnership but Saifudeen spoils the party sending the two , back to the hutch after they scored 18 each with New Zealand on 50 for 6 wickets..
Rest was history , premier seamer Muztafizur Rahman does the cleaning up job with tail claiming 3 for 13 runs and New Zealand fold for 60.
Shakib ul Hassan 2 for 10 , Mehedi Hassan 1 for 9 , Nasum Ahmed 2 for 5 Saifudeen 2 for 7 and Muztafizur Rahman 3 for 13 , job done dusted , what a script.
Bangladesh had no pressure or worries got the job done in exactly 15 overs , a smiling Shakibul Hassan 25 , to his willow , Mushfiqur an easy fetched 14 , Muhamadulla recors 16 both not out , and the Stadium lights switched off early , players get to bed early , scorer records Bangladesh won by 7 wickets , scribes report that the home side goesbone up in the series with Shskib ul Hassan as man of the match , and the day ends in Dhaka.
