Palitha Bandara finished fifth in Men’s Shot Put F42

The final athlete of the Sri Lankan Para contingent Palitha Bandara Competed in Men’s F42 Shot Put event in the Paralympic2020, in Tokyo Japan. He finished 5th in the overall ranking with a distance of 13.40m at the Olympic Stadium today (4th September )

With this Sri Lanka concluded its participation in events at the Paralympic2020 games.

Aled Daevis of Great Britain won the Gold medal with a distance of 15.33 and the Silver medal went to Iran’s Sajad Mohammadian who reached 14.88m as his season’ss best performance. Tom HabdsChiled of Lauxenburg won the Silver with his personal best distance of 14.13m
