Kingswood dominate second half to beat Antonians 27-12

Kingswood College put up a massive second-half display to down the Katugastota Antonians by 27 points

(2 goals, 2 tries, 1 penalty) to 12 points (1 goal, 1 try) win at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium.

At the short breather, scores were deadlocked at 12 a-piece. For the Randles Hill school, tries were scored by Asiri Seneviratne, Dinal Ekanayake, Pathum Weerasinghe and Chathura Soyza. Hirusha Sampath put over the penalty and 2 conversions. For the Antonians, tries were scored by Jithen Daulagala and Mahesh Amarasinghe with the conversion taken by fly half Makarim.

With this win, Kingswoodians will move to round 2 in number 4 position, with a game against Joes yet to be played, while the Antonians will play the last-placed Thomians. Both teams are likely to feature in the Plate segment. Referee: Priya Suranga. (SJ)
