Sri Lanka will play two Tests and three Twenty20 Internationals against India in February-March next year.
The series is scheduled to be played from February 25 to March 9 and the first Test will be played in Bangalore. It is the first time in 28 years that an international Test match has been played at the stadium and the Test series is considered to be two matches of the ICC Test World Cup.
The second Test is scheduled to be played in Mohali from March 13 to March 18. The three Twenty20 matches will be played in Mohali, Dharmasala and Lucknow respectively.
Sri Lanka last toured India in January 2020 and played only 23 matches in the tournament. However, no Sri Lankan team has played a Test match against India since 2017 and the fact that this Test series will be played after 5 years is another highlight of this tournament.
