Sri Lanka rugby loose all three matches to crash out at CWG 2018

Sri Lanka sevens rugby team lost all three games in the group stage to crash out of the Commonwealth Games rugby champioship as they beaten by world champions Fiji, then Wales and Uganda respectively.

In the final match against Uganda, Danushka Ranjan continued his good form opening the scoring in the match, but failed to halt Uganda’s try scoring spree.

In the match against, Sri Lanka got off to a good start with Danushka Ranjan opening the score but a superior Wales team flew all around to score 6 converted tries at the full time.

In their opening match, which was against olympic gold medalists Fiji, Sri Lanka were seen as minnows as they failed to halt the Fijians physically and failed to match their speed.

However, Sri Lanka got off to an amazing start as Danushka Ranjan touched down soon after the whistle to open the scoring of the match as Sri Lanka led 5-0 against in the early stages.

Thereafter, Fijians went on to make 63 points while the Tuskers were seen ambling on the ground.
