The Athletics Association has decided to hold the first qualifying round of the 2022 Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Kuwait in the second week of November.
Accordingly, the tournament is scheduled to be held on November 13 and 14 and all events of the tournament will be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Due to the global corona epidemic, the tournament will also follow strict health guidelines.
Following in the footsteps of previous athletics events, the tournament is also aimed at events that have a better chance of qualifying for the Asian Youth Championships.
Athletes born in the years 2005 and 2006 can participate in the tournament and they can apply for the tournament from 1st August 2019 onwards based on their performance.
The 2022 Asian Youth Athletics Championships will be held in Kuwait from March 1 to 4 next year.
