Sri Lanka defeated Maldives 77-45 in the third match of the 2021 Bangabandhu South Asian Basketball Championship today (18) with a heavy defeat against India yesterday (17).
Sri Lanka entered the tournament as the reigning champions and recorded a sharp victory in the first match against hosts Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka was 32-18 at the end of the second half and by the end of the first half Sri Lanka was able to score another 22 points. Maldives managed to score only 15 more points.
At the end of the fourth quarter, Sri Lanka was leading 36-71, taking the victory away from the Maldives. At the end of the fourth quarter, Sri Lanka won the match 77-45 with another 17 points, leaving the Maldives with just 13 more points to go.
