West Indies unable to capitalize the successful start

The second day of the second Test between the West Indies and Sri Lanka ended today (30) in Galle.

By the end of the second day due to rain, the West Indies were 62 for one, 135 runs behind Sri Lanka in the first innings.

West Indies openers Brathwaite and Blackwood put on a fine 62-run stand for the first time in 15 innings.

The building that 168-ball partnership, the duo looked to be defending their wickets in front of the Sri Lankan spinners.

However, spinner Piyal Wijetunga gave some advice to the Sri Lankan spinners from outside the 4 boundary and as a result their scoring pace was further hampered.
