Sri Lanka youth clinch second victory

The third match of the five-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and England under 19 cricket teams was played today (05) at the SSC Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka U-19 won the match by 2 wickets to take a 2-1 lead.

England captain Tom Prest won the toss and elected to bat first.
Yasiru Rodrigo took the first wicket of the innings with the first ball of the innings. Yasiru also took his second wicket as England added 11 runs. There, George Bell was caught red-handed.

The Sri Lankan bowlers were able to take 5 wickets for 60 runs in the first innings.

None of the England players were allowed to reach the 20-run mark. Sri Lankan bowlers were able to restrict rival England to 114 runs. Rehan Ahmed was the top scorer for England with 19 points.
Sri Lanka won the game, scoring 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 44 overs. Rehan Ahmed and Thomas Aspinwall took two wickets each for England.
