Janagan to guide Sri Lanka sports through information technology

Janagan Vinayagamoorthy, Chairman of IDM Nations Campus Lanka (Pvt) Limited was appointed Information Technologies Consultant for the National Olympics Committee (NOC) odf Sri Lanka on last Wednesday at their head quarters.

The secretary general of NOC Maxwell De Silva handed over the official appointment letter to Janagan and former vice president of NOC was also present.

Speaking at the occasion Janagan Vinayagamoorthy said “Information Technology is a very important segment for present sports field and athletes are very much into IT to gain maximum benefits from the advanced technology and sharpen their skills with high performances advancements”.

Vinayagamoorthy who studied at Colombo Hindu College later completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Colombo University. During his school and campus days he played for the hockey teams as the goal keeper.

He further said “Information technology play a vital role in the human life and in particular in field of sports. It helps to avoid mistakes and make advances in all aspects of sports at world level. Information Technology in sports has established a base for scientific discoveries in order to improve research activities, learning and coaching. Bio-mechanical analysis and field research have evolved impressively, thanks to Information Technology.
