Women’s World Cup 2022 Final: Australia beat England by 71 runs to win title

 Riding on a brilliant effort by Alyssa Healy, Australia defeated England by 71 runs to win the ICC Women’s World Cup in Christchurch.

The batter, who opened the innings after Australia were invited to bat first, scored 170 off 138 deliveries to help her side pile a gigantic 356/5 in 50 overs. In response, England were bundled out for 285 in 43.4 overs.

Spinners Alana King and Jess Jonassen were the standout performers for Australia with the ball as the duo picked three wickets each.
