Due to the current economic and political situation in Sri Lanka, there is a crisis regarding the Sri Lanka Cricket team's tour of Australia next month.
However, Sri Lanka Cricket and the Australian Cricket Board said that the full month-long series would be held as planned.
"Currently we have decided to implement the tour as planned. We will focus on the developments of the next two days and decide what to do, ”Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary Mohan de Silva told media on Wednesday (May 4).
Sri Lanka will play Australia in three Twenty20 matches, five ODIs and two Tests from June 7 to July 12.
Cricket says that the current situation in Sri Lanka and the uncertainty of those conditions are the reason for some doubts in the tournament.
Commenting on this, Mohan de Silva said that a decision will be taken soon. However, he said that Sri Lanka Cricket was not dependent on the national grid.
