Sri Lanka U19 team trail by 362 runs at the end of the first day of the first youth test against England U19 currently under way at Chelmsford.
Sri Lanka U 19 were 25 for one wicket at the close of play for day one.
Batting first England U19 made 387 runs with a century from George bell (107) . Bertie Foreman made 58 runs.
Duvindu Ranatunga was the main striker of Sri Lankan bowling attack capturing 4 wickets for 100 runs. Duvindu is a product of Mahanama College, Colombo.
Dulaj Samuditha and Wanuja Sahan have taken two piece each.
Sri Lankans had a major setback in replying to opponents as they lost the opening batter Sadhisha Rajapaksa for 11. The centurion in the worm up game Asitha Wanninayake was unbeaten on 13.
