AUS v IND-2nd Test-Rohit-Rahul to resume as India trail by 242 runs,

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will resume India’s innings at 21/0 on Day 2 of the IND vs AUS 2nd Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The hosts bowled out Australia for 263 on Day 1 and survived a tough 9 overs spell from the visitors. With the pitch offering turn and variable bounce, India will have to bat out of their skins to take a lead.

Australia won the toss and opted to bat first in Delhi. Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb scored fighting half-centuries to help the visitors to a competitive total. For India, Mohammad Shami picked up 4 wickets, while both Ashwin and Jadeja got three each.

Rohit looked in good touch having scored a century in the last game. KL Rahul was circumspect as always but did manage to hold onto his end. India will hope that both can set the tone early in the day with a long batting order to follow. With the turn and bounce on offer, the hosts would want to avoid the possibility of chasing a big total in the 4th innings.
