Australia is on track to win their first-ever WTC Final title after Day 2. India is struggling in their pursuit of a daunting 469-run target, with 5 wickets already lost. Ravindra Jadeja’s aggressive 48-run knock has prevented India from being in even greater trouble. At the end of Day 2, India managed to reach 151/5, with Ajinkya Rahane (29) and KS Bharat (5) at the crease. However, India still trails by a substantial 318 runs. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Cheteshwar Pujara were dismissed cheaply.
Earlier, India took 7 wickets after Australia resumed their innings at 327/3. Steve Smith completed his century, while Travis Head smashed an impressive 150 before both were dismissed. Among the Indian bowlers, Mohammed Siraj stood out with four wickets, while Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur claimed two wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja also managed to take one wicket.
