SL vs IRE, ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023, Match 15: Sri Lanka secured the top spot in Group B by defeating Ireland by 133 runs. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sri Lankan opener Dimuth Karunaratne displayed a brilliant performance, scoring 103 runs with 8 fours. Sadeera Samarawickrama and Dhananjaya de Silva contributed with 82 and 42 runs respectively. Sri Lanka was all out for 325 in 49.5 overs, with Mark Adair taking 4 wickets for Ireland.

In reply, the Sri Lankan bowlers gave some pressure on the Irish batsmen. Ireland could only manage to score 192 runs before being all out in 31 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga took 5 wickets for 79 runs for Sri Lanka, while Maheesh Theekshana took 2 wickets for 29 runs.
