Siraj gets early breakthrough after India score 245 in 1st innings

Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar began the South African innings on a cautious note as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj looked furious. The pacers kept bowling on the accurate line and length and Siraj’s finally dismissed Aiden Markram in an early wicket for his team.

India’s first innings ended on the score of 245 on the second day as KL Rahul slammed his second consecutive century at the difficult pitch of SuperSport Park, Centurion. Kagiso Rabada led the South African pace attack with 5 wickets while Nandre Burger clinched 3 wickets. Macro Jansen and Gerald Coetzee also got one wicket each.

India, led by Rohit Sharma, will take on the Proteas in Centurion. South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bowl first. Day 1 of the 1st Test match was disrupted by rain whereas India’s prospects were affected by a batting collapse of the top order.

KL Rahul became the second Indian wicket-keeper batter to score a hundred in South Africa during India’s first Test at Centurion on Wednesday.
