SL v AFG, One-off Test – Afghanistan Ends Day Strong at 199/1, Trails by Just 42

After the first innings by Sri Lanka, Afghanistan began their second innings with Ibrahim Zadran and Noor Ali Zadran at the crease. They built a partnership of 106 runs for the first wicket before Asitha Fernando dismissed Noor Ali Zadran at 42.5 overs. Ali Zadran scored 47 runs off 136 balls, including five fours. For the second wicket, Zadran and Rahmat Shah formed a strong 93-run partnership.

Ibrahim Zadran put on a brilliant performance, achieving his maiden Test century with 101* runs from 217 balls. By the close of play, Afghanistan had reached 199/1 in 75 overs, trailing by 42 runs.
