Chamod Yodhasinghe and Lea Tarushi Karunaratne won the awards as the best athlete of the 48th National Sports Festival.
In this year’s event, Chamod completed the men’s 100m event with a time of 10.27 seconds and created a new event record. Tharushi Karunaratne managed to complete the women’s 400 meters event in 52.69 seconds.
