Bangladesh Young Women leveled the Series

Bangladesh won the fourth match of the under-19 women’s Twenty20 cricket tournament between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh by 21 runs.

With this, the Twenty20 series consisting of 4 matches ended with a draw of 2-2.

In the fourth match held yesterday at the BRC ground, the Bangladesh players who batted first scored 126 runs, while the Sri Lankan team chasing that target could score only 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Hiruni Hansika scored a quick 44 runs off 29 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes but failed to lead the team to victory. She built a quick 31-run partnership with Chamodhi Prabodha (3), who entered the field for the 9th wicket, but could not go for victory.

The captain Manudi Nanayakkara added 25 runs to the innings while the first 2 wickets of Sri Lanka’s innings fell within 2 runs, and the opening batsman Dahmi Senethma (12) added 31 runs. Jannatul Maoa took 3 wickets while bowling.

Jannatul Maoa was the top scorer of the Bangladesh innings with 24 runs, Afia Ashima added 21 runs and Mosammat Eva 20 runs in the innings. In bowling Rashmika Sevwandi took 3 wickets and Chamodi Prabodha 2 wickets.
