Colombo District Court issued an injunction preventing the Sri Lanka Rugby election

On the 16th, the Colombo District Court issued an injunction preventing the Sri Lanka Rugby Union’s official election that was scheduled to be held today (21).

Colombo Chief District Judge Mr. Sandun Withana, who considered a petition filed by Mr. Lasitha Gunaratne, a former president of the Sri Lanka Rugby Union, issued the relevant order.

This injunction has been issued to be effective until the 30th and the District Judge has ordered the respondents to submit objections in this regard on that day. The Chairman of the Rugby Selection Committee and the members and the Director General of Sports have been named as respondents in this petition.
